The Pyramids of the Giza plateau are perhaps the most famous of all Egyptian sights.  It’s impossible to visit here without being over awed by the gigantic scale of these mind boggling constructions, by these testaments to humanity’s ability to create.  The Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, over 4,500 years old, were further back in time from Julius Caesar, Jesus Christ or Cleopatra than those three are to us.  Here is a selection of pictures that capture only a small part of this amazing place.
